Google Hummingbird is the new Google algorithm by Google. On September 27, 2013 when Google had celebrated its 15th anniversary this algorithm came up and it was claimed that the search can be more effective and human oriented as the algorithm goes beyond the keywords. Though it was already being used it was announced after a month so within this month there were no issues raised on the basis of search results.
The algorithm Hummingbird provides a more natural way of using the search engine is what Google says. This algorithm has a complex use of search request and can understand human language in a much better way. It can understand the concept than the few words that are written for query. This one is treated as a leap that has been taken which is new in the history of internet as the search query is more user friendly. This algorithm is specially made for semantic and conversational search. The way Google answers query is by using Knowledge graph but hummingbird is not limiting itself to only the knowledge graph but is will be clearer in understanding the query and will give answers based on conversational technique. The searches are 90% affected the searches which in turn impacted billions of web pages. This algorithm was specially designed to understand the intention of the user and top generate the results that best suit the query.
The algorithm must concentrate on the reason of search and the intention of the user. If you search for mobile shops it should not only limit to the meaning of the mobile shop but it should also show information of mobile shops near your place if you have shared your information. Hummingbird has to focus on the words of the query and understand the meaning.
But this doesn’t mean that the keywords are not at all important, they are definitely important and the SEO’s do not have to panic about the changes. Too much of usage of keyword with no relevance is something that is unwanted. Google understands the page relevance by the links that use the keyword multiple times and in multiple ways. So google considered the keywords that the web pages had to determine the relevance but the change that has come up is about the content not the keyword alone. Therefore hummingbird makes use of the clauses throughout the net to find the meaning of the keyword. The metaweb makes a compilation of the clauses and makes Google to be able to access to a lot of information.
The keywords with a long tail should have response now as there is more focus on the meaning of the query. The way Caffeine gave path to Penguin and Panda updates it is obvious that hummingbird will also create history and pave way for new and much needed updates. Due to this there is a high anticipation that spam will be weeded out and there will be a lot more focus on meaningful content. Therefore it means new and stringent penalties foe sites with poor content.
