LinkedIn is known to be the fastest growing social networking site to develop connections in order to find jobs that suit the talents and the experience.
While you are sending invitation to people on the LinkedIn site there are certain things to be careful of like the connections are built on trust which means the people whom you know are the ones you can send invitation to. So when you are Inviting people whom you don’t know personally or they are not a part of your educational institution or office in present or past the site will ask you to provide their email id as an evidence if you don’t provide that information you cent send invitation.
When you send invitations to wrong people your account in LinkedIn is prone to get frozen. There are three choices given to people on the LinkedIn site when they get invitations the choices are accept, archive and I don’t know this person. So when you send out invitations to people they click on any of these choices if there are many people who click on I don’t know this person to your invitation that you have sent then the LinkedIn site will freeze your account. This is when there is a need for a person or administrator to look into the account. You will receive a warning to cease and desist and if your account keeps getting frozen several times then you should not be surprised if you are not allowed in the site anymore. As LinkedIn is a valuable source for people to get noticed for promoting business and expertise the users should be paying attention to the rules of the site and act accordingly.
The way you can know if it is secure to invite someone:
There are two things on LinkedIn where people choose to be one are open networkers and another is selective connectors. If the person you are sending invitation to is on open network then there is no problem and you can freely send invitation though you don’t know the person. You need to find out if the person is there on open network by checking their profile. They may be connected to group like LIONs or Top Linked. These people will include their email id or they will mention open network somewhere or the other on the profile. You don’t need to bother if they click don’t know this person if they are in open network.
If the person is not in open network then you need to build relation with them either through linked in by answering questions in the group they belong to or by sending them a mail from linked in or by sending mail from personal id. Try to get introduced to the person from any of your connections.
LinkedIn is only useful if you have good network. It will help to promote business and exhibit talent. You need to be careful while you are on LinkedIn as it may be a great loss if you do something wrong.
