LinkedIn is one of the favorite social networking sites for everyone in the world who are seeking jobs. This is the most informed site for work and it has many professionals who are there only for business purpose. The safest thing about LinkedIn is that the user doesn’t have any fears and jotters about the people he or she is getting in touch with. The other safe thing about LinkedIn is that the user will not have to worry about any criticism, stalking and unethical photos on the site when the user checks someone’s profile. However this site is useful to people who have built or who are ready to build connections with professionals. The site with all good reasons has rules that are set for sending invitations to people in order to get connected in written and unwritten format. Therefore for all the users who are there on the site it is important to be informed and aware of the rules so that the user doesn’t get into any kind of trouble.
Things to keep in mind before sending invitations
The primary thing that a user should be aware of is that there is a limit set to invite people. The limit is 3000 and it is for lifetime on the site. If you use them there is no room left for more. For people with limited connections and for people who are not too keen on building up connections on LinkedIn this might not seem like a problem but for people who are employers or who are having a lo9t of network this information is good to know. A way to be on a safe side so that you don’t use up a lot of space is that you can send invitation to people who are there on LinkedIn alone and not to people who are not there on the site. For the ones who are not there on the site you can send a normal email with information on how to join.
The people you can invite on the LinkedIn connections:
The first thing that will be asked when you invite people on LinkedIn is that your relation with them that is how you know the person you are inviting. This is the most credible part as social networking sites allow people from any nook and corner of the world and the invitations stack up in your profile but this way you will not receive any unwanted invitations and you will get invites only from people you know. So the people who share the connections will be of same organization, group, association, educational institution, or business. If there is nothing in common that you share with the person you need to furnish the persons email id as a proof to state that you know each other if not you will not be allowed to send an invitation.
That is the reason you need to have a complete profile so that all the previous employers and your colleagues will be there on the connections. This will let you past connections to be restored incase you don’t have their contact details.
